The Linked In Group for mandates interested in BG/SBLC/MTNs has a membership of 4,559 the last time I looked. That is a significant number of individuals who are direct to buyers and sellers of these bank instruments. All of us who have been active in the field of representing buyers and seller have encountered the massive amount of misrepresentation of brokers referring bank instruments they claim to have or clients that cannot perform. We waste a tremendous amount of time culling out the uninformed brokers from the few that actually can bring a transaction to close. -Jim Sheridan-
